The chief criterion for a winning ‘Nature in Miniature’ entry is a clear, macro image of the subject, capturing good detail of the animal, fungus or plant’s appearance. The very best entries will manage to show the viewer a new angle on the micro world, but an unusual image is of less importance than the clarity of the image.
'Nature in Miniature' replaces the 'Bugs' category of the competition's first generation.
