You are warmly invited to read our letter of invitation for the next KES expedition to Madagascar in 2016.
As mentioned in the invitation letter, we recommend also viewing the following supporting documents:
Introductory slideshow presentation shown to pupils (below) about the Madagascar expedition.
Information on the first week of the expedition at Opwall's Madagascar page (though disregard the diving information re. the second week).
The full 'Schools Booklet' (.pdf) linked to on the above page gives specific details on the structure and conservation aims of week 1 (again, disregard any diving information).
A photo book (.pdf) on Opwall's Madagascar expeditions produced in 2013 by Shrewsbury School (similar to our own publications from our Ecuador 2014 and Guyana 2012 expeditions)
Below are two excellent videos produced by Operation Wallacea, both explaining the aims of the Madagascar expedition and giving an insight into what life on expedition is like.
Social Media & Contact
We encourage anyone interested in the expedition to join the 'KES Madagascar 2016' group on Facebook, where forthcoming information, times and dates of meetings, a 'training weekend' and money-making ideas will be posted. It is also a good way for pupils to see who else has an interest in the expedition, and to talk about it as a group.
Furthermore, we would be pleased to hear from pupils or parents, whether in person or by email, at any time: please do get in touch!
